Butler Winding is Western Pennsylvania's premier producer of transformers and inductors to our own design or the customer specifications.

Butler Winding has supplied custom magnetics since 1984. Butler Winding began business by recognizing a niche for high quality specialty magnetic products. The company expanded as a result of our reputation for exceptional quality, short lead times, competitive pricing and outstanding customer service. From humble beginnings, essentially a "garage" startup to over $1 million in sales, the strengths of Butler Winding were preserved while extending our reach into new territories and new markets. Today we serve an 8 state mid-Atlantic to mid-West region.

In 2002, Butler Winding changed hands and as a result has continued to capitalize on opportunities in the near areas and other areas. Starting, in 2003, we are exporting as well. In 2002, we began a more aggressive effort to use off-shore materials and services in order to reduce costs, thus keeping our prices competitive.
